Job DescriptionElevate Your Expertise as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Dewberry in Peoria!Dewberry is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Peoria, IL . The candidate will provide technical guidance and training/mentoring of our design resources in all areas of work we do associated with electrical engineering. They will assist the Project/Client Managers by providing technical guidance to help meet the client's desires and budget, and work with a team of engineers on a variety of private, public, and federal projects. In addition to working with electrical engineers, the individual will collaborate with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines to provide full‑range services to our local and regional clients. The role involves providing technical guidance associated with electrical requirements to accomplish our commitments. The candidate will report to the Electrical Discipline Manager.Key Required SkillsAccomplished electrical engineer/PE8+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.ResponsibilitiesTechnical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving electrical engineering.Technical training and development of staff.Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the electrical discipline area.Engineer of Record.Provide on‑the‑spot advice and decisions—technical and cost estimates.Coordination with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.Technical interface with code officials and contractors.Required Skills & ExperienceAccomplished electrical engineer/PE8+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget.Self‑motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Well organized, takes good notes.The projected range for this position is $136,000‑$175,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.BenefitsDewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full‑time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire.
