    Description

    Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical authority for all electrical design elements of hyperscale and AI‑factory data centers. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in high‑voltage distribution, HVDC, UPS, SST, switchgear, and critical facility electrical systems. The Lead Electrical Engineer will provide stamped drawings, mentor junior engineers, and ensure designs meet all regulatory, safety, and customer requirements.Lead electrical design for data center builds, including one‑line diagrams, short‑circuit/coordination studies, grounding, and arc flash.Provide stamped drawing sets for permitting and compliance.Serve as subject matter expert for HVDC distribution, SST integration, UPS systems, and busway/busduct designs.Mentor electrical engineers and review their work for compliance and quality.Interface with AHJs, utility providers, and customers to resolve technical issues.Support proposals and client workshops with expert‑level technical input.Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEC, UL, and other standards.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with stamping authority in the U.S. (multi‑state preferred).10+ years of experience in data center electrical systems.Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, and similar tools.Strong leadership and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting hyperscale or AI‑focused data center developments.Familiarity with utility interconnection processes, load studies, and substation coordination.Exposure to HVDC distribution, solid‑state transformers (SST), or next‑generation power architectures.Experience working with owners' engineering teams, EPC firms, or colocation providers.Knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE) for global project support.Prior involvement in construction administration, commissioning, or integrated systems testing (IST).Progress toward PE licensure or other professional engineering certifications.EEO StatementDelta Electronics Americas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
