About the Role
Reporting to senior engineering leadership, the Senior Electrical Engineer, Plant Support & Reliability will play a critical role in supporting operations and maintenance across a global network of facilities.
This position is heavily focused on electrical system reliability, troubleshooting, and plant support, while also partnering with design engineering teams on system improvements and project execution.
You'll work across:
High, medium, and low voltage electrical systems
Power generation and industrial process environments
Cross-functional plant, maintenance, and engineering teams
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering Support & Design
Review and support electrical system designs, including:
One-line/three-line diagrams
Control schematics and wiring diagrams
Arc flash, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations
Coordination studies
Assist in developing scopes of work and coordinating with external engineering firms and contractors
Plant Support & Troubleshooting
Provide direct technical support to plant and maintenance teams
Troubleshoot electrical systems across complex industrial equipment and power systems
Analyze root causes of failures and implement corrective and preventative actions
Commissioning & Field Support
Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities
Provide on-site guidance for construction and electrical system integration
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain technical bulletins, best practices, and reliability improvements
Partner with operations and engineering teams to drive plant performance and productivity
Ensure alignment with internal standards and OEM guidelines
Requirements
Education
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
EIT required; PE preferred
Experience
4+ years of experience in electrical power distribution
Background in:
Industrial plants, power generation, or heavy process environments
High, medium, and low voltage systems
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
Electrical diagrams, substations, and industrial systems (MCCs, motors, transformers, protection systems)
Experience with:
Protective relaying (SEL strongly preferred)
Tools such as SKM, SEL event analysis software, GE EnerVista, or similar
Other Skills
Strong problem-solving and data analysis capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support multiple facilities
Effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness to travel up to 30%

In accordance with New York salary transparency requirements, the anticipated annual base salary range for positions is: $100k-$125k annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project leadership background.
