Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Lead the development, design, system integration, and maintenance of embedded hardware platforms for Space Orbital Missions, Lunar Missions, Aerospace, and Defense projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in product definition, materials selection, architecture, and design review activities.
  • Recommend and implement hardware solutions and improved practices.
  • Develop and maintain micro-controller operated digital and analog electronics using established engineering processes.
  • Interface with customers to determine requirements and guide hardware packaging, board layout, and design tradeoff discussions.
  • Lead PC graphical user interface development/testing, test plans, test results, and test stand equipment design.
  • Coordinate releases, upgrades, documentation, quality assurance activities, and technical accuracy of product materials.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10+ years of recent embedded hardware development experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  • Advanced electrical/software engineering concepts.
  • Advanced design, analysis, and testing of micro-controller operated digital and analog electronics.
  • Advanced PSpice simulations.
  • Proficiency in motor control systems.
  • Experience with ORCAD schematics.
  • Knowledge of FPGA and high-speed signal processing.
  • Understanding of DSP, control systems, and digital filters.
  • Release management and document control.
  • Application lifecycle management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership and mentoring capability.
  • Project planning and milestone ownership.
  • Electrical design expertise.
  • Experience with schematic capture, preferably ORCAD.
  • Knowledge of microprocessors.
  • Full life cycle development from requirements, design, to testing.
