LEAF Engineers is a frontrunner for success in providing comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing, technology, and fire protection engineering design services. Our engineers are focused on system performance, reliability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. Our work typically consists of large commercial projects, primarily award-winning K-12 schools. With an emphasis on teamwork, we reach beyond the traditional MEP approach to solve problems and integrate a more holistic style to our processes. Within LEAF, you will find a fast-paced environment with many opportunities to learn and accelerate your career.This position will require a candidate with experience in the design of electrical distribution systems, power systems, lighting systems for commercial, and educational facilities including branch circuit and feeder calculations, equipment specification, and emergency power system layout.Your ImpactPrepare and oversee electrical power system design having single line diagrams, wiring and elementary diagrams along with layout and circuitry designCoordinate designs and drawings needed for plant electrical systems to meet applicable standards and codesReview supplier drawings conforming with specifications plus dimensional compatibility along with assemblies and componentsInteract with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and fellow electrical engineers to design required coordinated designsPrepare construction documents along with schedules and specificationsDevelop accurate and precise product designs that comply with drafting and company standardsReview and coordinate vendor design documents review to ensure comply to design requirementsProvide quality assurance checks of electrical, control detail engineering and design project deliverablesCompare project budgets along with schedules to coordinate multidiscipline groupsHere's What You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering technology degree6+ years of work experience with an engineering consultantProficient in Revit and AutoCAD design softwareProficiency with BluebeamProficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to self-assess and command a high level of accuracyHere's How You'll Stand OutPE LicensedStrong oral, written, and communication skillsExcellent time-management and organizational skillsProject experience in K-12 educational marketFor California Offices: Project experience in the K-12 education market and with the Division of the State Architect (DSA)Understanding of MEP calculations, and Title-24 documentation to be able to relay information to clients and team membersWhy Join Us?Eligible employees receive an annual performance bonus depending on LEAF profitability and individual performance. Employees accrue a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off during their first year with LEAF and an additional week of paid time off during our winter break (12/26-12/31), 10 days of sick leave, and we observe 8 1/2 holidays.
