Senior Electrical Estimator

The Senior Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in accurately estimating costs and preparing bids for industrial and commercial electrical projects of varying scales, from small to large. This position involves thorough scope analysis, vendor coordination, risk assessment, and effective communication with clients. Reporting directly to the Project Manager and Operations Director, the estimator ensures project budgets align with technical specifications and company goals. Occasional on-site visits are expected to support accurate cost and risk evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimations and bids for electrical projects
• Analyze project scopes and specifications to determine resource needs
• Develop and manage project budgets to meet financial targets
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
• Assess project risks and incorporate into estimates and proposals
• Review technical specifications and proposal documents thoroughly
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on estimating activities
• Conduct occasional site visits to support estimation and project assessment

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electrical estimating

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with electrical estimating software
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Expertise in cost analysis and budgeting
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication skills
• Strong time management abilities
