    Job Description

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team

Join an established design-build organization delivering complex electrical, refrigeration, and industrial projects for customers across the country. The electrical group operates as a specialized team supporting both electrical power requirements and controls-related wiring within demanding industrial environments.

The organization has built a reputation for long-term employee retention, technical expertise, and giving experienced professionals significant ownership over their work. Many employees have developed careers spanning decades, creating an environment where strong performers can take on increasingly broader responsibilities.

This opportunity is particularly well suited to an electrical engineer who has developed strong project-management capabilities and wants room to grow beyond traditional individual project ownership.

    What's In Store For You

    • A highly visible project-management role within a specialized electrical division.
    • Opportunity to manage design-build electrical projects from planning through completion.
    • Significant autonomy without a heavily micromanaged environment.
    • Direct exposure to customers, field teams, engineering groups, subcontractors, and business leadership.
    • Opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibility within the electrical organization.
    • Fully onsite work from Monroe, North Carolina.
    • Regular project-site travel.
    • Relocation may be considered for the right candidate.

How You Will Make An Impact

    • Lead electrical projects through design coordination, estimating, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
    • Manage electrical scopes that may include controls wiring, equipment connections, distribution, and associated field installations.
    • Coordinate with engineering teams, refrigeration project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
    • Establish and manage project budgets, schedules, labor requirements, materials, billing, forecasts, and change orders.
    • Review electrical drawings, specifications, proposals, and project documentation.
    • Provide technical and project leadership during design-build execution.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and coordinate manpower and materials.
    • Maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Identify risks early and develop practical recovery or mitigation plans.
    • Support the continued growth and development of the electrical division.
    • Operate independently while maintaining accountability for project quality, financial performance, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Are You an Experienced Electrical Project Leader Ready to Make an Impact?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
    • Approximately 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering, construction, or project-management experience.
    • Proven responsibility for managing electrical projects or substantial project workstreams.
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction.
    • Experience with electrical controls, controls wiring, instrumentation, or related systems is highly desirable.
    • Experience managing budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, change orders, and project financial performance.
    • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, diagrams, and technical documentation.
    • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
    • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working with limited day-to-day supervision.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
    • Professional Engineer license preferred but not required.
    • Design-build construction experience strongly preferred.
    • Ability to work onsite in Monroe, North Carolina, five days per week.
    • Willingness to travel regularly to active project sites.
