Senior Electronics Engineer role open with a growing, industry leading aftermarket solutions provider in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you'll own the reverse engineering of complex legacy circuit boards — reconstructing schematics, developing firmware, and modernizing hardware to support a high-throughput repair and remanufacturing operation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who genuinely enjoys the puzzle of taking an undocumented board and figuring out exactly how it works, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants the breadth of owning hardware, firmware, and process improvement under one roof.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in PCB reverse engineering, embedded firmware development, and board-level troubleshooting
  • Experience reverse engineering OEM products for custom use cases
  • Proficiency in C and/or Python for embedded development on microcontroller platforms
  • Ability to create or reconstruct schematics from scratch
  • Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment and rework stations
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
Role
  • Reverse engineer multi-layer PCB assemblies — reconstruct schematics, trace signals, identify components, and validate through testing
  • Lead root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting on failed or intermittent boards
  • Redesign and modernize legacy circuit boards using current components while maintaining backward compatibility
  • Develop automated test setups for diagnostics and board validation
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on repair techniques, firmware programming, and troubleshooting best practices
  • Optimize repair processes to reduce costs, minimize downtime, and improve first-pass yield rates
