Senior Electronics Quality Technician-IISenior Electronics Quality Technician-II reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations – Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing. This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies' HQ in West Los Angeles.Role and ResponsibilitiesLead advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis of failed units, including complex PCB assemblies and radio frequency components.Own high-priority RMA cases requiring detailed forensic investigation and documentation.Perform precision soldering and rework of fine-pitch SMT and BGA components, including under-microscope repairs.Serve as a technical liaison among the Quality, RMA, Engineering, and Production teams.Develop and refine test protocols, repair procedures, and inspection criteria in coordination with Engineering.Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior and senior-level technicians.Assist with prototype builds, test fixture development, and validation testing for Engineering projects.Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to workmanship standards, inspection methods, and failure reporting.Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimum 7–8 years of experience in an electronics work environment. An Associate or Bachelor's degree with a combination of experience will also be considered.Advanced experience in hand soldering SMT components.Advanced knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.Demonstrated ability to interpret complex electronic schematics and troubleshoot to component level.Proficient in root cause analysis and failure documentation best practices.Familiarity with radio frequency systems and electrostatic discharge-sensitive devices.Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCertified IPC Specialist (CIS) or IPC Trainer (CIT) in soldering and inspection standards.Experience working closely with research and development teams in a rapid prototyping environment.Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality system environments.Working knowledge of Linux-based systems is a plus.Prior experience in a team lead or mentorship role preferred.Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsOccasional exposure to heat and cold.The employee is required to do the following while performing the duties of this job:Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.Walking/Moving in the labs.Compensation$38.50 – $40.70 / hourly.
