Senior Electronics Technician

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field a plus
• 8+ years of industry experience as an electronics or maintenance technician in renewable energy, semiconductor process equipment, nuclear technology, or high-energy systems environment
• Experience in the prototyping, build, test, and maintenance of complex, high power electronics
• Broad knowledge of high-voltage, high-current power supplies and RF systems
• Ability to troubleshoot systems and down to component level of PCBs
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscope, multimeter, signal analyzers, etc.
• Previous exposure to PLCs is a plus (any type of PLC, no brand preference)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the build and installation of electronics, components, and assemblies for research systems upgrades
• Support the R&D team by troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating custom and off the shelf components
• Read schematics, diagrams, bill of materials, and assembly instructions to guide diagnostics for equipment failures. Troubleshooting from component to systems level.
