Senior Employee Relations Specialist

Start Date - End Date: Oct 5, 2026 –Apr 2, 2027

Shift Schedule:
This role requires five days per week onsite, and the schedule is not a traditional one. It involves supporting all four manufacturing shifts, though the Manager is very flexible about how coverage is structured.

An EXAMPLE schedule is below - but again, the Manager can be flexible.
5 days/week onsite, including two early-shift days from 5: 00 a.M.–2: 00 p.M. (Monday and either Thursday or Friday), with the remaining days following standard business hours. There may also be occasional late-shift or weekend coverage needed for urgent employee relations matters. In some cases, those issues can be handled remotely, depending on the situation.

Position Overview:

The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist role at *** involves providing comprehensive support to employees and managers in various HR capacities. Working closely with HR Business Partners, this role includes addressing employee relations issues, implementing corrective actions, and managing terminations. The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist also conducts investigations, develops performance improvement plans, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Partner with HR Business Partners to provide comprehensive support to employees and managers on topics such as AskHR escalations, employee relations, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, terminations, and Workday org changes, to enhance the *** employee experience.
Offer guidance and support to employees and managers on a range of employee relations issues.
Collaborate with managers to implement corrective actions in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Ensure accurate updates to organizational structures in Workday, including manager and supervisory org changes, position closures, and job change requests.
Conduct thorough investigations into employee-related issues and provide recommendations for appropriate actions.
Partner with managers to develop and execute performance improvement plans for employees.
Address escalated inquiries concerning HR policies and assist in facilitating requests for modifications or the creation of new employee relations-related policies.
Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and insights for organizational improvement.
Manage Workday tasks related to termination processes, including initiating involuntary tasks and preparing severance documentation.
Generate employee relations reports and provide strategic insights to HR Business Partners.
Design and deliver training sessions on relevant employee relations topics for employees and managers.
Offer prompt escalation support for additional AskHR cases as needed, ensuring efficient resolution of employee inquiries and concerns.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum of 5-8 years of employee relations experience.
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
