Senior Employment Counsel – San Diego, California (hybrid position, licensed in CA, Bay Area or San Diego). This role covers litigation, employee relations, discrimination and harassment claims, California wage and hour issues, and partners directly with HR and business leaders. It is an excellent opportunity for a law‑firm attorney to move in‑house or for an experienced employment counsel to broaden exposure and make meaningful impact within a sophisticated legal team.ResponsibilitiesAdvise the team on all employment legal matters in assigned business unit(s), covering the entirety of the employment lifecycle from recruiting to separationServe as strategic legal partner for assigned centralized subject mattersRepresent Intuit in employment claims, managing outside litigation counsel as neededSupport and/or lead special projects and initiatives as needs ariseDeliver clear, practical, and business‑oriented advice to enable smart risk‑takingPartner closely with Employment Legal team members to drive consistency, share expertise, and deliver coordinated support across client groupsBuild strong cross‑functional partnerships and influence senior stakeholdersUse AI responsibly and proficiently to accelerate work and scale Legal servicesQualificationsSignificant experience advising on complex global workforce issuesIn‑house experience preferredStrong employment litigation backgroundComfort using generative AI tools and a willingness to adopt and champion responsible AI practices within the Legal functionStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others in a team environmentAbility to serve as a strategic advisor and influence successful outcomes with minimal supervisionExcellent in‑house judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectivesClear and concise communicator, with experience interfacing with senior executivesJD and active bar membership (California preferred)Strong personal ethical code and integrity; deep respect for privacy and confidentialityExpected salary for this exempt role is $223,000 – $302,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
