POSITION SCOPE -The Senior Energy Engineer will serve as an advisor on energy and mechanical matters to project implementation teams while reviewing specifications, drawings, construction documents, project scopes, and cost estimates, as well as assisting in the day-to-day program management. This position is suited to a person with 6-10 years of relevant, in-depth knowledge of office, retail, hospitality, senior living, logistics, and leisure facilities with substantial practical experience in identifying and correcting mechanical system problems. This individual will conduct assessments of building attributes, control systems, and energy performance, then analyze utility data and develop energy efficiency retrofit solutions to achieve the optimal balance of reduced utility consumption, occupant comfort, and financial results. Extensive experience in energy management, HVAC optimization, or sustainable design is preferred, but a general understanding of these topics is sufficient, provided the candidate is deeply familiar with commercial mechanical systems and control strategies.
WHAT WE NEED
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
LOCATION- Remote (United States) GreenGen operates internationally, requiring regular travel; however, GreenGen's corporate headquarters is located in Bethesda, MD. This position does not require relocation to Bethesda. West Coast preferred.
TRAVEL - Travel to a variety of client locations within the North America will be required for this role up to 50% of the year in increments of one week or less. Long-term engagements at a single client location are not expected.
