We are seeking a Senior Engine Controls Engineer to develop, implement, and validate advanced control algorithms for gasoline engines. This role focuses on delivering robust, production-ready software that meets performance, emissions, and regulatory requirements. You will work cross-functionally with systems, calibration, and software teams while leveraging model-based development and AUTOSAR architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance engine control algorithms for gasoline powertrain systems using MATLAB/Simulink/StateflowTranslate system requirements (CFTS) into scalable AUTOSAR Software Components (SWCs)Define and manage interfaces including CAN (DBC), OBD (PIDs/DIDs), and ECU communicationDesign AUTOSAR-compliant interfaces, arxml files, and integrate software compositionsPerform MIL, HIL, and vehicle-level validation; develop DVP&R plansGenerate embedded code and RTE through integration pipelines and support buildsImplement diagnostics, NVRAM storage, and variant management strategiesEnsure compliance with emissions regulations and support reportingCollaborate with calibration teams to ensure feature performance and calibratabilityParticipate in Agile ceremonies and technical reviewsProvide technical leadership and mentor junior engineersBasic QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree in the related field from an accredited university, with experience in controls / calibration of gasoline spark-ignition engines5 + years of experience in engine development, emissions development, engine technologies, and competitive productsExcellent knowledge of internal combustion enginesKnowledge of modern and classical control principlesExperience in data acquisition, including collecting and processing dataOutstanding problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong teamwork skills and ability to work independentlyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, automotive engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited universityExperience with powertrain development (systems, controls, calibration)Proficiency with advanced simulation toolsProficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/StateflowExperience in an Agile/Scrum environmentExperience with Application Lifecycle Management (IBM RTC) toolsFamiliarity with ASPICE processes for software developmentExperience with AUTOSAR-compliant software architectureKnowledge of proactive/reactive quality tools (DFSS, DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.)Knowledge of Electric/Electronic Vehicle Architectures and Networking.Knowledge of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) standards and architecture.Knowledge of Product Line Engineering principles.Knowledge of the SystemDesk and ETAS ISOLAR tools.Knowledge of the GIT tool for the versioning and storage of the artifacts.Knowledge of integration pipeline tools (e.g. TeamCity).Knowledge of Requirement Management tools like Doors Next Generation (DNG).Knowledge of CAN/LIN communication protocols design & measurement tools like CANalyzer.Knowledge of programming languages like C/C++, Python, and aut- coding tools like Embedded Coder.#J-18808-Ljbffr
