Senior Engineer APX Design Management

About the role:

As a Senior Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management, you will guide fleet design decisions and standardization for the future fleet of AP1000 plants under development.

You will report to the Senior Manager, APX Fleet Design Management and be located at Westinghouse location. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead collection and assessment for incorporation of lessons learned into the fleet design
• Define delivery strategies for the AP1000 Nuclear Island (NI) and Turbine Island (TI), including standardization approaches
• Facilitate evaluation of strategic technical decisions and drive to agreement across multiple partners
• Work with teams (design, analysis, projects, and supply chain) to solve challenging technical problems to implement nuclear plant design
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers
• Identify and define technical challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in nuclear plant design preferred

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
