Senior Engineer Electrical Job DescriptionJob Overview Senior Electrical Engineer providing electrical engineering expertise to the Enterprise Capital Engineering, Mill Sustaining team, and process engineering support to the NA Tissue Value Stream organization. The role leads capital projects for the development, layout, design, installation, and start‑up of equipment and ancillary systems to address capacity, capability, innovation, safety, and obsolescence needs for the NA Tissue Value Stream.Responsibilities Drive the development and execution of capital projects using the KC NA Project Management Practices (PMP) process as projects are assigned.Provide leadership by example in safety, ethics, quality, regulatory, and sustainability and ensure that all elements of the corporate Human Resources Development and Diversity policy are fully supported.Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve business results.Effectively collaborate with a cross‑functional team that includes R&D, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers, and external service providers.Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly‑Clark.Prepare and implement unit budgets and schedules.Implement appropriate internal controls and standards to ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K‑C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.Complete required project documentation through EFS, EDR and Appropriation activities and follow PMP documentation including Corporate Financial Instructions (CFIs).Lead manufacturing facilities, Vendor, OEM visits as projects dictate (i.e., equipment review, acceptance testing, etc.).Travel is required for this role. Typical level of travel is 20‑30%, heavier travel may be required at times during project installations depending on duration or complexity of project.Key Technology Areas TM – Stock Prep, wastewater, Chemical handling, Utilities, and Tissue machine operations.Converting – Unwinding, rewinding, calendaring, coating, folding, cutting, conveying, wrapping, bundling, cartoning, casepacking and palletizing, Airlaid technologies and processes.Technical Competencies DCS, Rockwell PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), Motion Control (Servos), Variable speed drives / control system, HMI (Human Machine Interfaces); Sensors, Power Distribution / Protective Device, process Controls, Machine Safety Systems, Instrumentation, Project Management.Qualifications A Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline (e.g., Science or Engineering related); 8+ years of related technical experience in mill, production or staff R&D environments. Preferred candidate has paper experience, ideally subject matter expertise in tissue machine and/or converting operations.Travel Travel is required for this role. Typical level of travel is 20-30%, heavier travel may be required at times during project installations depending on duration or complexity of project.Benefits Eligible for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan.Salary Salary Range: $105,740 – $130,620 USD (US locations only).
