Responsible for the design, development, maintenance, support, and roadmap of technical infrastructure that includes hardware, and/or system software components. Including but not limited to VDIs, PCs, mobile devices, printers, computer software, audio Video, and system management tools.

Essential Job Duties

  • Analyze business problems and lead the evaluation, development, and recommendation of specific technology products and platforms to provide cost-effective solutions that meet business and technology requirements.
  • Research and design best-fit end-user infrastructure and/or security architectures.
  • Guide configuration, debugging, and infrastructure support and ensure all quality and change control standards are met.
  • Lead root cause investigations and provide recommendations and solutions for preventative measures.
  • Proactively address gaps with existing support processes, documentation, etc. and prioritize accordingly.
  • Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade computer systems hardware and software.
  • Administer and maintain security of operating systems.
  • Provide operational support for the organization's end-user information systems and peripheral equipment such as VDIs, PCs, mobile devices, printers, computer software, audio video, and system management tools.
  • Advise the business on the technical aspects of information systems and products.
  • Collaborate with the business to estimate the costs and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing information systems products to meet business needs and the systems and security environment.
  • Ensure smooth integration with existing business systems.
  • Prepare flow charts, models, and procedures and conduct feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Write system and programming specifications so that when the system is implemented it will meet business needs.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead the work of others who perform essentially the same work. May set priorities, schedule and review work, but have no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance and/or make pay decisions.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience developing inventive solutions for supporting MS Windows operating system, building system images and Microsoft SCCM, Apple OS.
  • Experience with MS Office Support, deploying workstations and laptop refresh, full disk encryption for laptops and desktops, mobile device management, Active Directory user and group policy management.
  • Experience with Windows automation, VB, and Power Shell Scripting.

Preferred Requirements

  • Microsoft System Center, MCITP, MCSE, or MCSA certification.
  • ITIL certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Active Directory environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
  • Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
