Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Providing technical assistance and leadership required to plan and implement projects to develop, install, and qualify new products, and/or new processes for manufacturing new products or for improving existing processes according to business plan objectives.
  • Providing engineering input in the design, fabrication, development, installation, validation, and qualification of equipment and processes, including conducting feasibility studies and proper documentation for project justification and training for proper operation of the equipment.
  • Leading cause-identification and problem-resolution for various types of production or service-related issues that arise.
  • Monitoring and controlling programs, identifying issues, and ensuring they are resolved.
  • Ensuring proper documentation is prepared or corrected to reflect any changes implemented.
  • Researching and implementing cost reduction projects, lines, extensions, and/or products.
  • Providing assistance to production as required.
  • Planning work schedules, expenditures, attending meetings, and preparing monthly reports as required, ensuring effective communication of ideas, information, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assigning, delegating, and assisting in the completion of engineering tasks or projects to lower-level engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, or technical disciplines.
  • A minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, or 5+ years with a Master’s degree in engineering, scientific, or technical disciplines.
  • Proven proficiency in validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), equipment qualification, and process improvement.
  • Experience with line transfer, duplication, and new equipment setup.
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and vendor collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as ISO 13485, FDA, or similar standards.
