Position Overview
As a Senior Engineer - IT Supply Chain Systems, you will design, implement, and support high-quality IT solutions for automated warehouse and supply chain operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional business, operations, and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements, deliver reliable system integrations, and ensure stable performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems. In this role, you will provide senior-level technical leadership for IT support and implementation of solutions for MHE Applications. You will troubleshoot complex system and integration issues, ensure high-quality deliverables, and support business-critical automation platforms. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, assist in their professional growth, and participate in the continuous improvement of IT supply chain systems and support processes.
A Day In The Life
- Design, implement, and support IT solutions for MHE applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across automated warehouse environments - (40%)
- Collaborate with vendors, cross-functional IT, operations, and Engineering teams to gather and analyze requirements for warehouse automation and supply chain initiatives - (20%)
- Ensure high-quality system integrations, configurations, and solution designs, including interfaces between MHE systems, WMS, and enterprise applications; provide technical review and guidance - (25%)
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership, supporting skill development, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the team - (10%)
- Participate in the continuous improvement of IT supply chain systems, implementation standards, and support processes - (5%)
Youll Come With
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related fields
- 5+ years of experience supporting, implementing, or developing IT solutions for MHE application or industrial automation systems.
- Experience integrating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or warehouse automation systems with WMS, ERP, or other enterprise applications;
- Experience with platforms such as Dematic DiQ or Daifuku Dainamics is advantageous.
- Previous experience working in a production warehouse environment and troubleshooting servers, database and networking related functionality
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, controls engineering, vendors, and IT partners
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills, particularly in complex, integrated production environments
