The Role

Our Franklin site is seeking a Product Development Engineer to support the analytical and experimental development of airborne molecular contamination solutions. The engineer will own the development, validation, and transfer of new and derivative AMC filter solutions. The position requires technical understanding of air filter design principles and basic HVAC systems knowledge.

This position requires technical expertise in cad design, analytical methods, and data interpretation. The successful candidate will work cross‑functionally with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to drive new product development, scale‑up, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Research alternative manufacturing methods and design options for cost reduction and environmental impact improvement.

• Product related drafting and documentation.

• Problem solving and troubleshooting related to product design.

• Communication and sourcing of vendors for catalog and designed parts.

• Testing and verification of product through physical prototype, software analysis using statistical, CFD, and FEA.

• Interface and support R&D product test lab.

• Contribute to safety, method documentation, and operational excellence.

What We Seek

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

• 5+ years' Experience, preferably in air filter industry

• Experience in prototype assembling utilizing inhouse fabrication as well as coordinating vendor supplied components.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical teams.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

• Master's in mechanical engineering

• Minitab experience

• Solidworks experience including sheet metal and design table functions.

• Solidworks based CFD and FEA analysis experience

• HVAC design

• Compensation: $95,000 - 116,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
