Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Seattle, WA.This position will support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients including State DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong roadway design experience and a proven background delivering highway and/or local roadway projects from planning through construction. This role focuses on transportation design, roadway improvements, corridor projects, and multidisciplinary coordination.ResponsibilitiesLead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadwaysPrepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor modelsCoordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerationsDevelop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design softwareCoordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teamsEnsure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, state DOT, and local agency standardsMay perform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and technical deliverablesMay support project delivery, scheduling efforts, and client coordinationProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staffSupport construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordinationRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State requiredMinimum 5+ years of transportation engineering experienceExperience with roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects for DOT, municipal, and public agency clientsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with roadway design including plans and profiles, cross sections, corridor modeling, and gradingStrong understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable state DOT standardsStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience leading transportation design efforts and federally funded projectsFamiliarity with MicroStation, Bluebeam, Synchro, and Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD)Experience with roadway drainage, utility coordination, and right of way considerationsDesign experience for WSDOT facilitiesKnowledge and understanding of ADA compliance and PROWAG requirementsArdurra is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer.
