Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering & Equipment Technician to support automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
This is a senior-level, hands-on technical position focused on equipment troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and extensive experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
This individual will serve as a technical resource for production and engineering teams, helping maximize equipment uptime, diagnose complex failures, and improve overall equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and maintain automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, fluidic, and motion-control systems
- Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, current probes, power analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment to identify equipment failures
- Troubleshoot motors, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, vacuum systems, fluid-handling equipment, and automated systems
- Serve as a senior technical resource for recurring or complex equipment problems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment uptime and reliability
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment and manufacturing process issues
- Support equipment modifications, validation, qualification, and process-improvement activities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, I/O drawings, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams
- Train and mentor operators and less-experienced technicians on equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and calibration records
- Support ISO 13485 documentation and audit requirements
- Assist with facility and infrastructure equipment when required
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing equipment
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Hands-on experience with automated production machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes, and other electrical diagnostic tools
- Experience troubleshooting motors, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, vacuum systems, fluid-handling systems, and motion-control equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, I/O drawings, and pneumatic diagrams
- Strong preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and root-cause troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs and HMIs
- Exposure to National Instruments and Beckhoff systems
- Experience improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime
- Knowledge of machining, molding, assembly, and other manufacturing processes
- Experience working in a cleanroom, medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO 13485
- Previous experience training or mentoring technicians
Education
Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
Equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.

Pay Range: $28.80–$35.00/hr., based on experience
