About the Role

Join a highly advanced engineering environment supporting the development of cutting-edge defense technologies. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineering technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex systems, and mentoring junior technicians in a collaborative laboratory and prototype development setting.

In this role, you’ll support engineering teams involved in the design, fabrication, testing, integration, and troubleshooting of sophisticated electro-mechanical systems and specialized equipment used in advanced defense applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering activities including:
    • Design support
    • Testing and checkout
    • Fabrication and assembly
    • System modification and integration
  • Troubleshoot complex systems down to the component level
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and layouts
  • Build, calibrate, adjust, install, and maintain equipment and systems
  • Support prototype electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment
  • Assist with experimental circuitry and laser/light transmission devices
  • Work from written/verbal instructions, schematics, and defined engineering plans
  • Mentor and support junior technicians within the engineering organization
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams across multiple disciplines

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience supporting prototype or experimental hardware systems
  • Strong understanding of technical standards, specifications, and engineering practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

  • Electro-mechanical systems experience
  • Laboratory and test equipment experience
  • Prototype fabrication and integration support
  • Component-level troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working within engineering development environments

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to work within secure or classified engineering environments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
