• Precision Diagnostic Skills: Fluent with fundamental shop tools, digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and specialized wire-harnessing tools.

• Standout Technical Skillsets (Bonus): Familiarity with Linux environments, executing basic scripts, or hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace. A B.S. in an Engineering discipline is highly valued.

Our Onboarding & Interview Process

To keep our pipeline moving efficiently, we utilize a transparent, swift two-step interview process. Please ensure you are available for the required onsite component before applying:

Technical Sync (30 Mins): An initial screening and technical alignment call via Zoom with the HIL Team Hiring Manager.
Onsite Panel & Practical (1.5 Hours): A comprehensive panel interview conducted fully onsite at our Foster City facility to assess technical aptitude, diagnostic reasoning, and team fit.

Strict Federal Compliance Requirements: > Due to the proprietary nature of our autonomous driving systems and compliance with U.S. Export Control Regulations (including ITAR/EAR), this position requires access to highly sensitive technical data and hardware.

What You’ll Do Daily

• Custom Systems Integration: Assemble custom, high-performance computing hardware utilizing off-the-shelf components. Integrate complex vehicle systems and networking hardware directly into server racks.
• HIL Simulation Support: Fabricate, modify, and track multiple generations of custom test platforms to enable continuous, predictable software simulation environments.
• Electrical & Harnessing Work: Build, pin, and route custom cable harnesses directly from complex technical schematics, wire diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Diagnostics & Triaging: Partner directly with the engineering teams to root-cause, troubleshoot, and repair technical anomalies across test equipment using DMMs and oscilloscopes.
• Operational Flow: Document modifications, manage inventory hardware changes, and track system incidents utilizing internal ticketing infrastructure. Coordinate with cross-functional logistics teams for component rollouts and decommissioning.
• Physical Execution: Handle low-ground wiring infrastructure (crawling/bending required) and safely maneuver computing assets weighing up to 50 lbs with assistance.
