This program supports the development and sustainment of advanced mission systems and next-generation defense technologies used in national security environments. The team works with cutting-edge electronic, RF, communications, and hardware systems in a collaborative engineering and production environment. This is an opportunity to support highly visible and mission-critical programs while working alongside experienced engineering teams.
As the Sr Engineering Technician, you will support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing research and engineering laboratory functions that may include, but are not be limited to:
Perform component-level troubleshooting on analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics assemblies.
Analyze circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to isolate faults.
Use advanced diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters.
Apply theoretical knowledge of electronics (Ohms law, Kirchhoffs laws, transistor theory, op-amps, digital logic, power conversion, etc.) to fault analysis.
Identify failed or out-of-spec components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, and power devices.
Conduct functional and environmental tests to verify repairs.
Document failure modes, root causes, and corrective actions in maintenance or quality systems.
Provide technical support to production, engineering, and quality teams.
Assist in developing troubleshooting procedures, test plans, and repair documentation.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair electronic assemblies at the component level.
Required Qualifications
Associates degree in a related discipline or equivalent is required, plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
