This is a high-leverage role at an inflection point for our technology organization. You'll have the mandate, executive sponsorship, and scope to genuinely shape how Envision's technology landscape evolves over the next several years - not just maintain it. If you've been a Solution Architect ready to operate at the portfolio level, or an Enterprise Architect looking for a role with real authority and impact, this is built for you.

Work shouldn't just be something we do; it should have a purpose. At Envision, we believe in creating life-changing outcomes through the work we do with our clients, giving back to our communities, while creating a company culture where our people thrive. We believe success starts with a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

Being part of a collaborative team means there's no limit to what you can achieve. With us, you can be a part of a growing company you want to work for.

Our Vision: To unleash the power of combined intelligence to accelerate patient access to life-changing treatments.

Our Mission: Delivering smarter and faster solutions to create, communicate, and commercialize value for our clients.

Our Values: Excellence, People, Growth

The opportunity

The Senior Enterprise Architect is the connective tissue between business strategy and technology execution at Envision. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture & Solutions, you will define and evolve the target-state architecture that enables our business to scale, compete, and adapt - translating where the business is going into the technology platforms, capabilities, and standards that will get us there.

This is a strategic role, not a delivery role. You will set direction, establish standards, and influence investment decisions across the technology portfolio. You will be measured not by how many projects you ship, but by how coherent, resilient, and strategically aligned our technology landscape becomes over time.

How will you make an impact at Envision Pharma Group?

Role responsibilities

Mature the Enterprise Architecture Function

  • In partnership with the Director, Enterprise Architecture & Solutions, define and implement the enterprise architecture operating model, including decision rights, governance forums, and engagement models.
  • Establish and own enterprise‑wide architecture processes (intake, review, exception management, technical debt, lifecycle management) that scale with the organization.
  • Create, maintain, and curate the core architecture artefact set, ensuring clear ownership, quality, and ongoing relevance.
  • Drive organizational change to embed architectural discipline into planning, investment, and delivery, supported by executive sponsorship.
  • Progress the organization's architecture maturity over time, aligned to Envision's growth, complexity, and regulatory needs.

Set Architectural Direction

  • Define and maintain the target-state enterprise architecture across business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.
  • Develop and maintain capability maps, technology roadmaps, and reference architectures that guide multi-year investment decisions.
  • Establish architectural principles, standards, and patterns that balance innovation with consistency, security, and total cost of ownership.
  • Maintain a forward-looking technology radar - evaluating emerging technologies (AI/ML, agentic systems, modern data platforms, edge computing) for strategic fit.

Partner with the Business

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Director, Enterprise Architecture & Solutions and senior business leaders, translating business strategy into technology implications and trade-offs.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to map capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize technology investments based on business value.
  • Build the business case for major architectural initiatives, including build-vs-buy analysis, platform consolidation, and modernization programs.

Govern the Portfolio

  • Lead the Architecture Review Board, evaluating significant technology decisions for alignment with target-state architecture and enterprise standards.
  • Drive technology portfolio rationalization - identifying redundancy, managing technical debt, and sunsetting legacy platforms responsibly.
  • Partner with Security, Risk, Data Governance, and Procurement on architectural implications of vendor selection, platform choices, and regulatory requirements.

Enable Delivery

  • Provide architectural guidance to Solution Architects and engineering teams, ensuring project-level designs align with enterprise direction without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Mentor solution and domain architects, raising architectural maturity across the technology organization.
  • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams alike.

Skills & expertise

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, including 5+ years in an architecture role (Solution Architect, Domain Architect, or Enterprise Architect).
  • Demonstrated experience defining target-state architectures and technology roadmaps at the enterprise scale.
  • Hands-on depth in at least two architectural domains: applications, integration, data, cloud infrastructure, or security.
  • Proven experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architectural patterns.
  • Strong working knowledge of integration architecture: APIs, event-driven systems, iPaaS platforms, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with modern data architecture concepts (data lakehouses, streaming, data mesh) and enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday) at the architectural level - how they fit into a portfolio, not how to administer them.
  • Track record of influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent enterprise architecture framework certification.
  • Cloud architecture certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent).
  • Experience with AI/ML platform strategy, including LLM integration patterns, vector databases, and AI governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration, organizational scaling, or major business model transitions.
  • Familiarity with ArchiMate, capability modeling, or other formal architecture modeling approaches.

How You Operate

  • Systems thinker - you naturally see connections, dependencies, and second-order effects.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - you can make sound architectural decisions with incomplete information and revise them as you learn.
  • Pragmatic over dogmatic - you understand that the right architecture is the one the organization can actually execute, not the one that wins on a whiteboard.
  • Influence without authority - you build consensus across teams that don't report to you.
  • Executive presence - you can hold a room with the CIO and a room with senior engineers, often in the same week.
  • Bias toward clarity - you make complex things understandable, in writing and in person.

Salary range- $ 130.000 - $ 140.000

The provided salary range reflects the potential base salary for this role in the United States, considering factors such as your professional and academic experience, training, and role responsibilities. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer an attractive total compensation benefits package designed to reward and support our people.
