Job Summary
The Senior level engineer will support air quality permitting and regulatory compliance. This position will work closely with our engineering teams and project management teams on new or modified air permit applications for new projects, renewals of existing sites air permits, and regulatory-required air reporting including air emission inventories, deviation reporting, and compliance certifications. The Senior level specialist/engineer will also serve as a technical resource in air quality for the environmental compliance team, operations, engineering, and project management.
The Senior level engineer will be responsible for planning and conducting air quality-related engineering activities. Requires the use of advanced techniques and the application of theories, precepts, practice and discipline, including practical field experience. Incumbents have the responsibility and authority to make decisions on engineering problems and methods applicable to the resolution of important issues. Participates on and leads teams of field employees, technicians, engineers and other personnel.

In the course of working at the project site, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold/hot, wet and/or humid conditions, and may work near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration (see physical requirements above). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office, but may become loud at the project site.
