A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in Coachella, California. This role is critical to ensuring environmental compliance across complex industrial operations and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of environmental regulations, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Senior Environmental Engineer Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret environmental regulations to assess operational impact and ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Prepare, submit, and maintain regulatory reports, permits, and documentation for environmental agencies
- Evaluate facility processes and equipment to determine permitting requirements and coordinate application submissions
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental procedures that support regulatory compliance and operational standards
- Lead environmental inspections, audits, and incident response activities, including coordination of chemical spill response efforts
- Supervise and support Environmental Technicians, providing guidance on compliance practices and environmental procedures
- Manage environmental training programs for employees to ensure awareness of regulatory requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Partner with internal teams and external contractors to identify waste reduction opportunities and maintain strong compliance performance




Senior Environmental Engineer Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering within manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental compliance across air, water, and land programs
- Strong working knowledge of RCRA, SPCC, and SWPPP regulations and compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining environmental permits and regulatory documentation
- Experience coordinating with both state and federal regulatory agencies
