Are you an experienced controls professional with a passion for developing innovative automation solutions? We're seeking a Senior Estimating Engineer (Control Systems) to lead the development of technical proposals for distributed control system (DCS) modernization projects supporting the power and water industries. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your technical expertise, proposal development experience, and leadership skills while helping customers modernize critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Develop clear, accurate, and competitive technical proposals based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Partner with regional sales and engineering teams to develop complete automation solutions utilizing DCS hardware, software, and engineering services.
• Participate in customer meetings to define project scope, present technical solutions, and demonstrate automation expertise.
• Collaborate across multiple departments to ensure successful proposal development and solution delivery.
• Review customer purchase orders to verify alignment with proposed scope and prepare projects for order entry.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the proposal team through coaching, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support control system modernization, subsystem replacement, and ancillary systems integration projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or PLC-based control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial process automation and control system applications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Ovation DCS.
• Process control knowledge within the Power and/or Water industries.
• Experience with proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
• Passion for learning emerging technologies and driving continuous improvement.
