Senior Estimator (Civil)

General responsibilities would include:

• Analyzing blueprints and other project documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates
• Assessing the cost effectiveness of projects or services, tracking actual costs as the project develops
• Consulting with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project
• Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data (like number of workers, equipment and materials needed)
• Using software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
• Presenting estimates to clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses

• Bachelors Degree in related field; experience will be considered in lieu of a Degree
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with civil experience strongly preferred
• Strong communicative skills, expertise managing client correspondences
• Experience working with Estimating software and MS Office
