Senior Estimator- Commercial Construction

SENIOR ESTIMATOR – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Location: Winston-Salem, NC 

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction estimator to work on complex, high-value commercial projects across multiple market sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead estimating from conceptual design through final bid and contract award
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid packages and scope reviews
• Review plans, specifications and construction documents
• Solicit, analyze and level subcontractor and vendor bids
• Identify project risks, exclusions and estimating opportunities
• Partner with Project Management, Operations and leadership on project strategy
• Participate in preconstruction, value engineering and client/architect meetings
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Mentor junior estimating team members and help improve estimating processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Strong hard-bid estimating experience required
• Experience estimating complex commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials and subcontractor scopes
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid analysis and scope leveling
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred but not required
