Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction
Our client is a growing design-build commercial contractor with a strong reputation throughout Southern Wisconsin. The Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction will:
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates.
- Develop budgets for negotiated commercial construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for scope completeness.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and operations teams.
- Support business development efforts through pricing strategy and proposal development.
A successful Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction should have:
- 5+ years of commercial building and construction estimating experience preferred.
- Experience estimating negotiated and/or design-build projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Ability to prepare conceptual budgets as well as detailed estimates.
- Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and subcontractor proposals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-perform construction experience is a plus.
- Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related degree preferred.
