Known for its collaborative culture, long-term employee retention, and commitment to operational excellence, the company offers professionals the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing their careers.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction process, leading estimating efforts on a variety of commercial construction projects ranging from $1M to $20M+. Key responsibilities include:Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and final estimates.Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine project costs and risks.Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.Develop and maintain detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.Collaborate with project management and field operations teams to ensure seamless project transitions.Lead bid preparation efforts, including scope reviews, clarifications, and proposal development.Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives for clients.Assist with budgeting, feasibility studies, and preconstruction planning activities.Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.Monitor market trends, labor costs, and material pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Estimator will possess:5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.Experience estimating projects within sectors such as commercial, industrial, retail, multifamily, hospitality, education, healthcare, or mixed-use construction.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Experience performing quantity take-offs and developing detailed project budgets.Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary ranging from $100,000 - $140,000+, depending on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.401(k) with company contribution.Generous PTO and paid holidays.Strong pipeline of work throughout the Richmond market.Opportunities for advancement into Preconstruction Leadership.Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong employee retention.Vehicle allowance and gas reimbursement.
