Position Overview\n \nJGM is seeking a skilled Senior Estimator with 10\u201315 years of industrial construction experience to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be adept at estimating complex projects involving structural steel fabrication, erection, equipment setting, and piping, with a proven ability to manage project estimates up to $50 million.\n \nThis role also involves soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor pricing for multiple trades, including concrete/civil, electrical, and specialty subcontractors. Occasional travel to job sites across the country is required.\n \nResponsibilities \n\n Develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, from concept to final proposal.\n Analyze project documentation (drawings, specifications, RFIs) to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for value engineering.\n Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for structural steel fabrication, erection, equipment setting, and piping.\n Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and vendors across various trades (concrete/civil, electrical, etc.).\n Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate scoping and budgeting.\n Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present estimates to leadership and clients.\n Identify cost-saving measures and propose alternative solutions to meet client needs.\n Stay current on industry trends, material costs, and construction best practices.\n Ensure estimates align with company goals and profitability targets.\n \n\n \nQualifications\n\n 10\u201315 years of experience in industrial construction estimating.\n In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication/erection, equipment setting, and piping.\n Experience managing estimates for projects up to $50 million.\n Proficiency in subcontractor/vendor solicitation across multiple trades, including civil, concrete, and electrical.\n Expertise in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite.\n Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents.\n Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.\n Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).\n Willingness to travel as needed.\n \nPhysical Requirements\n \nThe demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
