Job DetailsJob Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This position is an integral part of our construction operations and will be involved in various strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi trade estimating, with the ability to manage complex projects and work under strict deadlines. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Estimator, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
2. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to create accurate and comprehensive estimates.
3. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirements.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve any potential issues or discrepancies in the project plans and estimates.
5. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and provide mitigation strategies.
6. Present and explain project estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction estimating techniques and software.
8. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budget status.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on multi trade estimating.
2. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry trends.
4. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex information to a variety of audiences.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
