    Description

    Summary:

    The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the estimation process for complex construction projects, overseeing the development of accurate and timely cost estimates. This role requires extensive experience in construction estimating, deep knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to lead a team of estimators.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex heavy civil construction projects.
    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to accurately determine scope and cost.
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships.
    • Participate in strategic planning with project management and executive teams.
    • Review and finalize bid submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Mentor and develop the estimating team, promoting professional growth and expertise.

    Requirements:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market trends.
    • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in InEight estimating software.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
    • Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead estimator role.
