Join our dynamic healthcare data engineering team as a Senior ETL / Data Integration Developer. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade ETL frameworks within a high-performance, multi-terabyte Oracle Exadata environment that integrates critical encounter and enrollment data from submitters. You will synthesize large, complex healthcare datasets using advanced data integration, transformation, and optimization techniques (including PL/SQL, Informatica, Python, and emerging cloud data platforms). Your work directly supports the operational management, evaluation, and analytical insight of healthcare systems impacting millions of lives.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows, pipelines, and data mappings to integrate complex healthcare datasets
• Apply ETL development best practices, including parameterization, modular design, and reusable components to avoid hard-coded logic
• Build reusable frameworks and automation tools to reduce operational activities and enhance overall data pipeline reliability
• Perform optimization, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging of ETL processes across Oracle Exadata development, test, and production environments
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit, system, and integration testing for ETL pipelines
• Provide ongoing development support, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to data integration standards and secure coding principles
• Document and maintain technical designs, ETL specifications, data mappings, and operational procedures
• Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and balancing checks to ensure high data quality, accuracy, and completeness across ingestion, transformation, and load phases

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL / data integration solutions using enterprise-grade tools
• 5+ years of experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL, including SQL development and query performance tuning
• 2+ years of experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell, or similar)
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data profiling, validation, and reconciliation
• 2+ years of healthcare data experience (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange, or commercial payer data)
• Proven experience supporting large-scale, high-volume data processing or data warehousing environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Informatica ETL suite
• Experience or familiarity with modern or cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS)
• Experience working with EDI transactions (e.g., 834, 837I, 837P, 837D, 837R, NCPDP), including data mapping, transformation, SNIP validation, and integration across trading partners
• Experience working in high-performance Oracle Exadata environments
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks, auditability controls, and automated reconciliation mechanisms
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare regulatory data security standards
• Exposure to modern data engineering patterns such as ELT, scalable batch processing, or hybrid cloud architectures

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
