Senior Event Planner

The Senior Event Planner is an upfront and hands-on representative of Mansions Senior Living Communities. They have extensive daily interaction with 's, customers, and the public on the company's behalf. This position requires personnel to be professional, courteous, outgoing, compassionate, and always someone who always maintains safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service & communication skills. The Senior Event Planner is responsible for the overall enrichment and coordination of social activities. The goal of the activities program is to provide mental, physical & creative stimulation that encourages an invigorating social atmosphere for our .

Position Requirements

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive Criminal Background Screening and pre-employment Drug Test
• Must provide valid employment documents.
• Must have reliable transportation to report to work on time and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to walk, sit, stand, bend, or kneel throughout shift. Must be able to lift 25-50lbs.
• Customer service: includes professional, prompt, and courteous correspondence with , visitors, contractors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, able to work with/without supervision.
• Communicate politely & professionally with customers, co-workers & supervisors.
• Potential for “on-call” for fill-in shifts; could require evenings, overnights, or weekends for emergencies.
• Willing to travel to other Mansions Senior Living Communities for emergencies or fill-in shifts.
• Experience driving passenger commercial vehicles is . CDL is not required.
• Must possess current Driver's License, acceptable driving record & current personal auto insurance.
• Maintain an accurate and a thorough knowledge of all the aspects of the property, specifically in areas such as community policies, safety, and emergency procedures, etc.

Essential Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Must love seniors and have a great sense of humor.
• Responsible for planning and directing a program of diversified activities for all .
• Develop & coordinate activities for independent to participate in such as: social activities, birthday parties, family gatherings, outings, spiritual activities, creative and artistic activities, exercise, recreation, etc.
• Provide a calendar of events for reference.
• Schedule outside vendors & entertainers for enjoyment of .
• Assist in transportation to shopping, errands, doctor visits, fieldtrips, etc.
• Manage monthly budget & expenses for Activities department.
• Engage & interact with and families to instill a positive image of the Community.
• Communicate with to see what their interests are & develop new programs accordingly.
• Work closely with Supervisors to coordinate monthly or marketing events.
• Seasonal decorations for the building to encourage excitement and interaction.
