Client Overview:
Our client, a highly respected, mission-driven nonprofit investment organization, is seeking a sharp, experienced, and proactive Senior Executive Assistant to support their CEO. This organization partners across finance, community development, and impact initiatives, and is looking for a Senior Executive Assistant who can transition seamlessly from a corporate environment into a purpose-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone coming from finance, private equity, investment banking, or high-level corporate environments who is excited by meaningful, mission-oriented work while continuing to operate at an executive level.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40+/hr temporary rate
$90K - $120K upon permanent conversion

Position Overview:
The Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the CEO while helping manage executive operations, board communications, scheduling, travel coordination, and strategic initiatives. This role requires a polished and confident professional with exceptional organizational skills, executive presence, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting C-level leadership, preferably within finance, private equity, investment, or corporate environments, and is interested in transitioning those skills into the nonprofit space.

Responsibilities of the Senior Executive Assistant:
  • Manage a highly complex executive calendar, meetings, and scheduling priorities.
  • Coordinate domestic travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics.
  • Act as a gatekeeper and liaison between the CEO, executive team, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, correspondence, and meeting materials.
  • Track executive priorities, action items, and follow-ups across multiple initiatives.
  • Coordinate executive team meetings, agendas, and materials.
  • Maintain executive files, records, and contact management systems.
  • Support board-related logistics and executive-level communications.
  • Assist with special projects, operational initiatives, and executive administration.
  • Manage expense reporting, contracts, vendor coordination, and administrative workflows.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Executive Assistant:
  • 10+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting C-level executives is required.
  • Interest in working within a mission-driven nonprofit organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Strong experience with calendar management and executive travel coordination.
  • Experience using Concur is required.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Highly proactive, polished, and confident professional presence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced executive environment while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Executive Assistant:
  • Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong background supporting executives within finance, private equity, investment banking, or corporate environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting CEOs or senior executive leadership teams.
  • Experience working with boards or executive committees.
  • Exposure to nonprofit, philanthropy, or community development organizations is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
