Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- As a Federal Contractor, Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and a pre-employment drug test, including marijuana.
- 1+ Year of Press Brake Operator Experience required
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Operation of small power tools, other hand tools and computerized and high-pressure
What You Do:
- Technical authority for container fabrication and welding processes
- SME across MIG, TIG, and Flux-core welding
- Primary escalation point for weld quality, fit-up, and dimensional issues
- Sets standards for safety, quality, and fabrication best practice
- Lead complex container fabrication and critical weld structures
- Approve weld sequencing, fixturing, and distortion control methods
- Support engineering with design-for-manufacturability feedback
- Verify weld parameters and process controls
- Own weld inspection standards (visual and dimensional)
- Analyze rework, defects, and trends; implement countermeasures
- Train and qualify welders by process and application
- Support audits and customer or government inspections
- Lead cross-functional problem solving using A3
- Own welding CI roadmap for containers and small parts
- Lead kaizen events impacting safety, quality, and throughput
- Mentor Tier III welders and develop future leads
