About The Role

Our client, a global leader in food safety, animal well-being, and genomics, is seeking a highly technical Senior Facilities Manager. This role is essential for maximizing structural reliability, optimizing energy efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance across their site portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct operations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of building systems, including HVAC, central plants, electrical distribution, PLCs, and fire suppression systems.
  • Utilize data analytics and building automation software to evaluate equipment performance and implement corrective measures.
  • Design and lead sustainability initiatives, carbon footprint reductions, and energy-conservation programs.
  • Oversee facility modifications, structural renovations, and equipment installations from design to commissioning.
  • Author technical RFPs, review engineering drawings, estimate costs, and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Track project schedules and resource allocations using modern project management methodologies.
  • Establish predictive and preventative maintenance programs utilizing a centralized maintenance management system.
  • Implement operating procedures, root cause analysis, and emergency response planning for asset downtime.
  • Manage facility operational and capital expenditure budgets, producing variance analysis reports.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, EPA mandates, and ASHRAE regulations.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and inspectors to maintain site safety documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in facility operations, corporate engineering, or infrastructure project management.
  • Proven track record of supervising multi-building operations and leading cross-functional technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Deep understanding of building blueprints, schematic diagrams, CAD tools, and advanced automation infrastructure.
  • Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer license, Certified Facility Manager credential, or Project Management Professional designation.
