Senior Field Engineer- Commercial Construction

FIELD ENGINEER (COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION)

A nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking a Field Engineer to join its growing project team. THE ROLE

• Support field operations on complex commercial construction projects
• Work alongside experienced Superintendents and Project Managers
• Gain hands-on experience from groundbreaking through project closeout

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist with day-to-day field operations and project execution
• Coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
• Help manage project schedules and short-term planning
• Coordinate material procurement and deliveries
• Support subcontractor coordination and project meetings
• Maintain project documentation and meeting minutes
• Assist with quality control, punch lists, and project closeout
• Perform field takeoffs and track labor, equipment, and materials
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities
• Support jobsite safety initiatives and safety audits
• Learn construction layout, BIM coordination, scheduling, and project controls

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2 years of commercial construction experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Interest in developing technical field leadership skills
• Experience with scheduling software, BIM, or construction technology is a plus
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow
