Senior Field Operations Engineer - 6+ Month Contract (Top Telecom company | Sunnyvale, CA)Location: Sunnyvale, CA (94086) | Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 AM-5 PMOverviewJoin a leading telecommunications company as a Sr. Field Operations Engineer supporting mission-critical infrastructure across data centers and field facilities. You will provide Tier III support for power, cooling, and facilities systems, lead troubleshooting during emergencies, and mentor junior engineers to strengthen in-house expertise. This contract has potential for extension and/or conversion to perm.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier III technical support for critical infrastructure systems: AC/DC power distribution, UPS, ATS, PDUs, STS, DC plants, generators, HVAC, CRAC units, chillers, pumps, condensers, grounding, and fire systems.Act as a subject matter expert during emergencies to stabilize operations and restore service.Mentor engineers in troubleshooting, processes, and equipment knowledge.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects, maintenance schedules, and efficiency initiatives.Recommend policy and process improvements to increase reliability and reduce vendor dependency.Travel on short notice as needed to assist with urgent situations (mileage reimbursed).Qualifications6+ years of experience in field operations, facilities, or data center critical infrastructure.Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).Strong background in generators, HVAC, DC power plants, and low-/high-voltage electrical systems.Demonstrated leadership, vendor management, and mentoring skills.Valid driver's license; ability to climb ladders >10ft, lift 25 lbs, and work in outdoor/varied conditions.Additional Details6+ month contract with possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (W2 only - no C2C).If interested (or know of somebody who is), please reply with an updated resume and rate requirements for immediate consideration to stephanie.narlesky@comcentric.comStephanie NarleskySenior RecruiterComcentric Inc.stephanie.narlesky@comcentric.com
