Our Global Business Group at Nova is looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer who is a self‑starter, customer‑focused, technically strong, and thrives in a fast‑paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and hands‑on experience supporting semiconductor equipment inside high‑volume manufacturing fabs.The Sr. Field Service Engineer will perform advanced engineering and technical activities while partnering closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and R&D to support and improve Nova systems in the field. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can independently drive customer satisfaction, mentor junior engineers, and effectively communicate technical findings through reports and presentations.Pay Range: $56- $62 hourly (DOE)Responsibilities Implement Nova's Customer Support Policy and provide onsite support for Nova systems at customer semiconductor fabsPerform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, upgrades, installations, and recovery activities on semiconductor manufacturing equipmentSupport new equipment installations, qualifications, software upgrades, and add‑onsAnalyze equipment logs, process data, and hardware‑related information to diagnose and resolve technical issuesMaintain accurate and timely reporting of customer support activities, system status, inventory usage, and service actionsCollaborate with R&D, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Support teams to resolve complex technical issuesProvide customer training and retraining to ensure effective operation and maintenance of Nova systemsMentor and train Field Service Engineers developing expertise in assigned toolsetsMaintain spare parts inventory according to Nova policies and operational requirementsSupport sales and customer relationship activities as neededDeliver professional customer‑facing communication and presentations demonstrating strong technical understanding and problem‑solving capabilitiesTravel domestically to support customer sites and business needsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related Engineering discipline is requiredMaster's degree is preferredMinimum of 3 years of field service or semiconductor equipment experienceMust have hands‑on experience working inside semiconductor manufacturing fabsPrevious experience with metrology equipment, X‑ray systems, XPS, or SIMS is a plusKnowledge of optics, robotics wafer handling systems, mechanical systems, and GUI software is preferredStrong customer‑facing experience in high‑tech manufacturing environmentsAbility to travel domestically up to 40%What Will Help You SucceedStrong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical activities in the fieldExcellent customer service and relationship management skillsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to work independently in demanding customer environmentsExperience working inside semiconductor fabs and understanding fab operations, protocols, safety, and cleanroom practicesStrong understanding of vacuum systems and semiconductor equipment fundamentalsExperience integrating equipment with fab automation systems and communication protocols such as SECS/GEM and HSMSKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, ergonomics, and yield requirements#J-18808-Ljbffr
