The Opportunity:

CACI’s Mastodon Design team specializes in rapidly designing and delivering hardware and software solutions to meet urgent mission needs. We focus on field-ready systems where size, weight, power, and packaging are critical. Our expertise spans specialized electronic and mechanical design, embedded and application-level software, reverse engineering and protocol analysis, and RF signals and communications systems.

Mastodon Design is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to serve as the primary technical and operational interface between Mastodon and the Army end-user community for a Program of Record (POR) SIGINT/EW system. This role is ideal for a seasoned SIGINT/EW professional who thrives in customer-facing environments and can translate operational needs into actionable engineering and product improvement.


Responsibilities:


• Serve as the primary customer liaison to the Army end-user community for a SIGINT/EW Program of Record.

• Manage, track, and resolve customer concerns related to system performance, usability, and operational effectiveness.

• Work closely with Program Management and Engineering to identify and drive technical insertion opportunities that enhance mission value.

• Translate operational feedback and mission requirements into clear engineering requirements.

• Maintain responsive communication with internal leadership via mobile phone, text, and email.

• Collaborate with program, product line, and account management teams to identify growth opportunities.

• Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to support teaming and collaboration opportunities.

• Brief Mastodon’s product portfolio to customers and stakeholders at all levels.


Qualifications:


_Required:_


• 10+ years of operational experience with SIGINT/EW systems in an operational environment.

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, with 7+ years of related professional work.

• Deep understanding of Electronic Warfare operations across all domains.

• Strong RF fundamentals, including propagation, detectability, and direction finding.

• Proven ability to engage customers, capture requirements, and translate them into engineering solutions.

• Willingness and ability to travel on short notice to support customer engagements and demonstrations.

• Knowledge of foreign military systems and partner force relationships.

• Strong briefing skills, capable of presenting to technical and senior leadership audiences.


• US citizen with ability to obtain TS SCI level clearance

• Active TS/SCI clearance.


• Familiarity with tactical RF communications systems, applications, and wireless networking.

• Exposure to data analytics trends and operational applications.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for relationship-building and knowledge sharing.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
