ESE Consultants, a Toll Brothers company, seeks a Senior Field Land Surveyor / Crew Chief for our operations in the Rockville, Maryland area.

This is an independent, field-based role supporting projects from Reston, VA to Columbia, MD and operating as a one-person survey crew, performing construction stakeout and layout for residential subdivision development, including roads, utilities, lots, and home construction.

What is the opportunity?

To perform Field work in various disciplines of Surveying using GPS, Robotic and other technologies.

What are the primary responsibilities?

• Residential Building stakeout
• Residential asbuilts (wall checks/ Location Surveys)
• Topographic surveys
• Residential Infrastructure stakeout (water, sewer, storm C&G)
• Site asbuilts
• Basic computations/cutsheets
• Boundary Surveys
• ALTA Surveys
• Heavy construction stakeout
• Ability to mentor and train field surveyors
• This role provides survey support for projects managed out of our Ashburn, VA and Columbia, MD offices.

Qualifications

Does this describe you?

• Ability to stay up to date with the ever-changing survey technology
• Comfortable working alone in isolated and remote areas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Can excel in a physical and technically demanding position
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings
• Basic understanding of Survey specific codes and Regulations
• Basic understanding of heavy construction (high rise, commercial construction)

Do you have these qualifications?

• 20+ years of related experience
• AutoCAD experience a plus
• High School Education or Equivalent
• Additional Survey specific classes a plus
• Clean driving record
• Work in office 3-days per week. Additional in office days may vary per Division/Department

The salary for this position is $33.00-$43.00 per hour plus use of a company vehicle.
