About the Role
The Senior Field Technician provides skilled, proactive maintenance and repair support across multiple Fairfield Residential communities within within the Houston, TX market. This dynamic role is ideal for an experienced technician who thrives on variety, enjoys working independently, and excels at handling diverse tasks such as HVAC repair, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.

With regular local travel supported by an auto allowance, you'll play a key role in maintaining our communities' exceptional standards, while ensuring resident satisfaction and property excellence. HVAC certification, driver's license, reliable transportation and a proven track record in multifamily maintenance required; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.

This is a 'second shift' opportunity with later scheduled working hours.

What You'll Do
Below is a snapshot of what this role is all about. While there is more to it, this is the core focus.

Routine and Preventive Maintenance
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repairs, and HVAC repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • General maintenance and cleaning of grounds.

Service Requests
  • Efficiently complete assigned service requests, prioritizing based on urgency and community needs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and inventory tracking.

Unit Preparation
  • Prepare units promptly and effectively for new residents.

Safety Standards
  • Adhere strictly to safety standards.

What You'll Need
Education and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC certification required (Type II or EPA Universal)
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license
  • Valid driver's license required

Experience
  • 3-5+ years multifamily or residential maintenance experience
  • Experience with disaster preparedness and response
  • Proficient in apartment maintenance with hands-on experience in troubleshooting various systems
