Description Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to serve as a Finance Business Partner to its Ads Sales Go-To-Market team, responsible for influencing new ad product and feature development through financial modeling, data-driven insights, and strategic analysis. In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of product and sales, supporting the creation of advertising strategy while working with innovation that comes to our team first. You'll develop key performance indicators and financial frameworks to provide guidance for new sales initiatives and product feature launches, and work closely with both Sales and Product stakeholders to contribute to long-term strategy discussions on how best to delight Amazon's customers and drive lasting success. A successful candidate will embrace ambiguity and combine deep analytical skills with strong finance and business acumen to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities * Manage and execute entire finance projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and financial analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations * Develop financial and quantitative models necessary for evaluating products and features adoption to support strategic decision-making and long-range planning * Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning while collaborating closely with Business Intelligence Engineers (BIE) * Provide financial reporting on business performance and contribute deep-dive financial analyses and actionable insights for Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews * Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to cross-functional leadership, translating complex data into business narratives that inform prioritization and resource allocation decisions * Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Analytics, and broader Finance teams to drive automation, scalability, and process improvements * Audit business and financial performance regularly, ensuring adherence to internal controls, and maintain team tools, SOPs, and process documentation to enable knowledge sharing A day in the life As a Finance Business Partner, you'll partner directly with cross-functional leadership and multiple Advertising Finance teams, requiring a combination of strong communication and technical skills. Your day involves building financial models, analyzing complex datasets to uncover insights that quantify business impact and drive product strategy, collaborating with stakeholders across Sales and Product teams to align on priorities, and building automated reporting solutions that support critical business decisions. You'll navigate ambiguous challenges while applying your finance expertise and business acumen to translate data into actionable recommendations for your team and stakeholders. About the team The Sales Go-To-Market organization drives product and program initiatives that make it easier for Sales to engage with and deliver on advertiser needs. Our Finance team sits at the intersection of product development and sales execution, serving as the financial bridge that connects innovation to advertiser outcomes. You'll join a team where the latest product launches come through first, giving you early exposure to new advertising technologies and strategies in an inclusive environment focused on impact. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications - Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - MBA, or CPA Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
