Senior Finance Associate - Alternative Investment Firm in Boston

A leading global alternative investment firm with more than $100B AUM is looking to add to its finance team.

This is a highly visible opportunity to join a lean, collaborative group that sits at the center of a sophisticated investment platform spanning private equity, credit, venture capital, public equity, and real estate. The team oversees the operational, accounting, tax, and reporting functions tied to a complex investment portfolio, offering exposure across virtually every business line within the organization.

The role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond a siloed accounting seat and gain broad exposure to complex investment structures, senior leadership, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced institutional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing quarterly and year-end accounting and reporting processes for multiple investment entities
• Reviewing annual tax basis books, K-1 activity, and coordinating with internal/external tax teams and fund administrators
• Monitoring daily portfolio activity, including capital calls, distributions, and investment transactions
• Overseeing fund administration activities such as cash management, reconciliations, withholding analysis, and investor reporting
• Partnering with professionals across finance, legal, tax, compliance, HR, IT, and investment teams on operational and strategic initiatives
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff while helping improve processes and infrastructure across the group

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of accounting experience with investment companies with tax exposure, and/or public accounting with either audit or tax experience
• Solid understanding of investment partnerships

$100K - $120K base salary, dependent on experience
