Senior Finance Associate - NYC - Hybrid 

A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support a large, externally managed Business Development Company. This role offers significant exposure to SEC reporting, public company finance, fund accounting, and strategic initiatives within a fast-growing alternative credit platform.

Responsibilities:
• Support and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements
• Oversee third-party administrator reporting, NAV production, and monthly/quarterly close processes
• Prepare and review financial reporting workpapers, NAV analyses, fee calculations, and management reporting packages
• Monitor complex investment activity, including PIK income, OID, restructurings, non-accruals, and valuation adjustments
• Coordinate with auditors, legal, compliance, tax, investor relations, and other internal stakeholders on reporting and regulatory initiatives
• Assist with SOX readiness, internal controls, process documentation, and remediation efforts
• Support Board reporting, capital markets initiatives, liquidity event readiness, and process automation projects

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred 
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, asset management, BDCs, private credit, private equity, hedge funds, or financial services
